What makes our venue so special?
Barnard Adventure Playground is a short walk from Angel or King’s Cross station situated in the west corner next to Barnard Park, with views reaching over King’s Cross to the West End. The building at Barnard is light and airy, with skylights offering natural light, in a flexible and comfortable space. The ground floor hosts the main hall that overlooks the outside play space and amphitheatre. In addition to the main hall, there’s dual access to a basement with a small open space and kitchen. The kitchen has a serving hatch that opens out into the small open space. If you fancy yourself as an entertainer, our outdoor amphitheatre is the perfect place to showcase your talent.
Barnard is an ideal venue to hold your event, whether it’s a training day, band practice, a community meeting, workshop, fitness class, children’s party or outdoor performance.

Accessibility
Barnard welcomes guide dogs at the venue and we have a number of portable induction loops that can be transferred between spaces. There is no car park on site but paid parking is available immediately outside the playground or across the road. We have steps and a ramp going down into the outside space. For further information on venue accessibility please get in touch.
Spaces, capacity and pricing
- Council departments, charities and community groups receive 10% discount.
- Block bookings of six or more hires are eligible for an additional 10% discount.
- Bookings are for a minimum of two hours.
